These kids are going to burn out. By the time any of these kids get to college they will have already peaked and will be mediocre D1 runners, however they will be awesome in high school and therefore will get all of those high school girls ;) . I’ve seen it a million times before 80 miles/week in high school is way too much, this isn’t a college team.

The first 800 meters was over 2:20. It was so slow, that even the announer had to comment about it during the race. And not one high paid coach was out there screaming at their runners to go. They all should have been either ready to kick, or else pick the pace up to avoid exactly what happened. We saw this finish comming 8 laps out. And we aren't "expert" coaches. It ended up being a one lap race with O'Neil.
Good for Ulrey. Being fast, smart, and lucky that everyone was asleep is a winning comination.

It's wonderful that PUMA is sponsoring the Mile. BUT, BUT, BUT....having no women's mile (or better yet, a women's 1500m, as women do not have the same history with the mile as men), is truly a mistake! At all levels of track, from high school, to age group USATF, college, National USATF and finally international -IAAF, comparable events are held for both sexes.
Puma, please get into the 21st century and sponsor a separate event for the other half of the world!!!!at

He should've known better than that....NOT 2 taunt the other teams. Yes, serves them right 2 have 10 pts. taken away & be DQ'ued! Hate 2 say it but they deserved that punishment.

You have to realize that in part it's all about effort. In high school I would run 12-16 x 400 in 67-68 sec, I wasn't a world beater though. In fact, I only ran 4:27 for 1600m, I was just always too tired to do anything significant. Just because two groups of separate individuals can do the same workout at the same pace does not mean they will achieve the same results. There are many more factors that play into it that just that.

Go on a snake hunt in the orange orchard behind the house. You're bound to find something huge and nasty. Either way, enjoy the time away from Michigan while you've got it.

to me that doesnt seem that impressive. they said they have 20 sub 10?! my team does 10x400 in same times 68-70 and we have about 3 sub 10! our overall mileage for our workout days arent 15, only 12 or 13 so maybe thats why idk. good vid tho!
