I didn't do a turkey trot myself, but I went and watched a local one. It was pretty cool.

"The defending champions Oregon have lost a lot off the top and are very heavy with 1,500m runners this time around."

That's not necessarily true. Their top runners are Puskedra, Klotz, and Danny and Diego Mercado who are all purely distance guys. After that you have Centrowitz, Acosta, Fleet, and McNamara who are all 1500m guys but have had great success at cross country. So, although Oregon might be counted out this year it's definitely not because of their personnel but something else that I'm sure they are trying to straighten out before Nationals.

MikeyB, No need to jump the fences. If you stay mostly to the north half of the course you can run through the gates and around the end of the fence and catch the runners between 6 and 7 times per lap. But you gotta run and stay ahead of the front runners.

Chelanga's stunning loss to C. Derrick at Pre-Nats was the perfect cure for Chelanga's lack of motivation. Chelanga will AVENGE his loss to C. Derrick and win the NCAA Championship by blowing away the field with spectacular front-running that the others can't Match or Catch---Exhibit A-- the video of Sam's Course Record from the 2008 Pre-Nats---it's a Pre-View of how he will Dominate Monday's Race http://www.flotrack.org/videos/coverage/view_video/234177/75916

Fantastic Nick,
Am a 2.52 marathon finisher and I have always had this naive thought that you guys have an easier time. It is good to see the pain cuts across the field.

flotrack will try to have a live feed all weekend, but I don't know if they can show the race. ncaa.com will have a live race feed and it'll be live on Versus.

Pre Nationals was awesome this is the Big Dance, Clydesdale Horses couldn't keep from this meet! My only problem is which running rout I will be userunning from point A to point B to view the race. Does anyone know the best running rout to view the race? For me, I start at the viewing box, then go to the mile mark and wing it from there! Just don't get in my way!!....and don't try and stop me from jumping the fences!

Even with that, neither may be the first Duck across the line as freshman phenom Jordan Hasay has been Oregon’s most consistent runner this season. Hasay looks to be the top true-frosh in the NCAA

"The Florida Gators beat Princeton at Pre-Nationals and Florida State at regionals. Florida State ran without their top runner at regionals, but this should not take away from the Gators’ win, as FSU would have lost even with her"

Gators only win by 2 points if Kuijken runs, and FSU's top 5 ran easy, while Florida's 2-7 were running HARD. Nole's over Gators at NCAA's!
