Just wanted to come back and comment on Alex at the West Regionals. It was a perfect day and she ran a perfect race, 19:59, along with Nicole Blood going 1-2. Rupp absolutely owned it, by nearly a minute, at 27:41 on my watch. Granted both Oregon and Washington held a few back, saving some of their strength for the Nats. One Oregon runner told me she thought both schools just brought enough to "get the job done" and it seemed to make perfect sense.

#2 happens to be a friend of mine and he's quite a ba himself and he can wear whatever shoes he wants. If I'm not mistaken, he's wearing flats and still running with the leaders.
