Virginia Finishes Night One of Alex Wilson Invitational
Cavaliers compete in two meets Saturday
NOTRE DAME, Ind.—The Virginia men’s indoor track and field team began competition at the Alex Wilson Invitational Friday evening (March 2) at the Loftus Sports Center on the campus of Notre Dame.
Senior Mark Amirault (Walpole, Mass.) finished fourth in the menÂ’s 5,000 meters in a time of 14:03.01, the third-best time in school history. Freshman
Chris Foley (Chantilly, Va.) crossed the line 12th in 14:20.13.
The distance medley relay team of sophomore
Anthony Kostelac (Charlottesville, Va.), senior
Kevin Anding (Houston, Texas), junior
Lance Roller (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) and junior Patrick Todd (Highland Park, Texas) placed 14th in a time of 9:34.78.
The Cavaliers compete in two different meets Saturday (March 3), including the final day of the Alex Wilson Invitational as well as the VT Final Qualifier in Blacksburg, Va.
