Louisville to Play Host to Pre-Nationals Cross Country Meet

LOUISVILLE, Ky. –
The University of Louisville will play host to the 2012 Pre-National Invitational on Oct. 13, with the race being held at E.P. ‘Tom’ Sawyer State Park in Louisville.
The event serves as a pre-cursor for the national championships, as Louisville and the city of Louisville will be first time hosts of the NCAA Division I Championships this
fall.
The Pre-Nationals Intent to Compete form is available at http://www.uoflsports.com/sports/m-xc/spec-rel/pre-national-form.html.
For the first time since World War II, the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships will be held on a Saturday, taking place at E.P. ‘Tom' Sawyer State Park on Nov. 17.
The city previously played host to the 2010 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships, five NAIA National Championships, two BIG EAST Conference Championships, five NCAA
Division I Southeast Regional Championships and the 2010 NCAA Division II National Championships.
