LOUISVILLE, Ky. –
Senior Charachesicia Lockhart concluded the University of Louisville track and field teamÂ’s final day at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships with All-America honors on Saturday
at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.
Lockhart secured her second All-America honor at the meet, becoming the first in program history to earn the award in the triple jump after placing 19th. On her third attempt,
she registered a wind-aided 12.80m/42-0 to earn honorable mention accolades. Lockhart became the womenÂ’s programÂ’s first All-America recipient in the long jump event on Thursday.
A Dallas, Texas, native, Lockhart finishes her career with two All-America honors, one individual BIG EAST title and four school records (indoor: 4x400m relay; outdoor:
long jump, 4x400m relay, sprint medley relay).
The Cardinal women finished the meet tied for 50th with four points.
