What's the significance of that red line? It doesn't seem to be parallel to the black line at their torso. This photo finish picture needs some 1080p! Oh yeah and that grid is absolutely useless. It just stirs up more talk. A runoff of two training partners is your only logical answer unless one concedes to the other. Two future solutions a rule stating if the torso is inconclusive then body part X will be the deciding factor or simply get more advanced technology that goes to as many decimal places as you need.

I'm not sure that the images is supposed to be a straight line... It looks like a picture of a picture, not necessarily a screen cap which in that case it may or may not have been straight depending on where the photographer took the picture...

Not sure about USATF but IAAF is as follows:RULE 167Ties1.If the Judges or the Photo Finish Judges are unable to separate the athletes for any place according to Rules 164.2, 165.15, 165.21 or 165.24 (as may be applicable), the tie shall remain.2.In determining whether there has been a tie between athletes in different heats for a ranking position according to Rule 166.3(a) or for a qualifying position for a subsequent round based on time, the Chief Photo Finish Judge shall consider the actual times recorded by the athletes to 1/1000th of a second. If it is thus (or according to 167.1) determined that there has been a tie for a ranking position the tie shall be broken by draw. Now they say @allysonfelix is tied for third. We will see how this plays out for @JenebaSylvia

Tarmoh, although not a Felix type yet, has some credentials behind her as well. Either way, those four women can still win the 4x1(Madison, Felix, Tarmoh, Jeter: 41.50). I think Felix should forgo the 100, she'll likely make it in the 200 and be on the 4x4.
