 8 Charles Jock Nike 1:49.02

The men's 800 meter final was a race to watch as Charles Jock, 2012 NCAA Champion took it out in 49 seconds for the first 400 meters, followed by Duane Solomon, Elijah Greer, and Khadevis Robinson. As the bell went off, Duane Solomon made a big move and assumed the lead. In typical Nick Symmonds style, the returning Olympic Trials champion made a hard move to the front pack going into the final 200 meters. Solomon continued to lead until the Bowerman curve, where Symmonds kicked like a mad man and grabbed the lead. Robinson also came through for an impressive 2nd place finish, followed by Solomon for third place.

Pre-race Talk:

Paris is in the house.....

Flo Favorites

1. Symmonds
Nick Symmonds has been a supreme tactician when it comes to running the 800 against America's best. Look for him to be in position when it counts.

2. KD
Khadevis Robinson, by far the oldest in the field, has been on fire this year and it would be hard to imagine the experienced vet not making the team this year.

3. Jock
Charles Jock has been looking smooth off of fast paces all season with the exception of the Trials semi-final just two days ago. When the Flo predictions were release on Friday, Jock was #3. However, we're on the fence with this one and wondering if he'll have the gear needed over the final 100 meters. Look for Mulder or Solomon to captialize if Jock is off his A game.
