(11-Jul) -- American 10,000m record holder Galen Rupp is under new management.
The 26 year-old athlete from Portland, Ore., who will double in the 5000m and 10,000m at the London Olympics, is now represented by PACE Sports Management, the athlete management firm owned by Ricky Simms, based in Teddington, Middlesex, England. Simms already represented Rupp's key training partner, world 5000m champion Mo Farah. Both Rupp and Farah are coached by Alberto Salazar and run for Nike's Oregon Distance Project.
Rupp had previously been represented by Michael Johnson. He signed with Johnson since turning professional in the summer of 2009 after he graduated from the University of Oregon and completed his NCAA eligibility.
Although PACE did not issue a formal announcement on signing Rupp, he is now listed on the company's website with a full biography and photo: http://www.pacesportsmanagement.com/athlete_profile.asp?id=310 .
