Women's High Jump Quick Hits
2012 London Olympic Games
Anna Chicherova Anna Chicherova of Russia competes in the women's high jump final during day eight of the 13th IAAF World Athletics Championships at the Daegu Stadium on September 3, 2011 in Daegu, South Korea.

High Jump Schedule:
Day 7, Aug 9th - Qualification (3:30am CT) - qualifying procedure TBA
Day 9, Aug 11th - Final (1:00pm CT)

High Jump Records:
World Record - 2.09 m - Stefka Kostadinova (BUL) 9/30/1987
Olympic Record - 2.06 m - Yelena Slesarenko (RUS) 9/28/2004
American Record - 2.05 m - Chaunte Lowe (USA) 6/26/2010

The Favorites: (personal best/season best)
1. Anna Chicherova, Russia (2.07/2.03) - With the two best jumps in the world this year, and a World Championships Gold, it'll be tough to down this rowdy Russian.
2. Chaunte' Lowe, USA (2.05/2.02) - Lowe has been jumping well of late and as the 2012 World Indoor champ, you just can't count her out.
3. Brigetta Barrett (2.01/2.01) - Coming off a fresh PB at the trials, I'm gonna take Barrett's youthful legs over Russia's Shkolina.

The Americans:
1. Chaunte' Lowe (2.05/2.01) - US record holder and World Indoor champ this year.
2. Brigetta Barrett (2.01/2.01) - Coming off a big PB at the trials
3. Amy Acuff (2.01/1.95) - The seasoned vet giving it at least one last go.
