MEET SCHEDULE
Races begins at 6:55am.
The annual cross country race in Holyrood Park will feature two marque matchups in both the men's 8k and the woman's 3k.
The men's race will have an international matchup between Great Britain, Europe, and the U.S. Last year's winner, Spain's Ayad Lamdassem, will attempt to defend his crown. U.S. is lead by Bobby Mack in their charge to take home the team title.
Fireworks will fly on the cold Edinburgh course as the women's special invitational 3k includes an array of Olympians. Kenya's Vivian Cheruiyot will once again go up against Ethiopia'a Meseret Defar. The two face off against one another after a scintillating London Olympic 5k, where Defar narrowly took gold over Cheruiyot in a close finish.
