After taking a year off, the Flanders Indoor Meeting returns in 2013 with a strong showing of international stars. French Olympian Christophe Lemaitre makes his debut in Belgium in the men’s 60m dash. The native Borlée brothers will continue their indoor season in two different events. Kévin Borlée will compete in the men's 300m while Jonathan Borlée will go up against Olympic silver medalist Lugelin Santos in the men's 400m.
The middle-distances include formidable athletes primed for top marks in the world. The men’s 800m features two sub-1:44 athletes from Kenya, Abraham Rotich and Anthony Chemut. World indoor 1500m bronze medalist Mekkonen Gebremedhin leads the field in the men’s 3000m, but should be challenged by a strong contingent of Kenyans that includes Vincent Rono, Paul Koech, Daniel Kipchirchir.
