In most Work-Out Wednesday videos, Flotrack site head Ryan Fenton can be seen riding a bike on the track and holding a camera following the runners. While filming an upcoming "Driven" series with Nick Symmonds, Fenton crashed his bike into a set of hurdles on the track and was taken to the hospital with a broken clavicle on Tuesday morning. 

Fenton was in the middle of recording Symmond's third of six strides to close out his Tuesday morning workout. 

"I was pulling up next to him 80 meters in and that's when I looked up and saw the hurdle," Fenton said. "He stopped immediately and asked if I was OK. Then I passed out and didn't even realize it."

Symmonds stayed with Fenton until he regained consciousness. Symmonds says Fenton was out cold for about 20-seconds and his body started shaking a little as the Olympian yelled Fenton's name. The shouts from Symmonds helped Fenton come to life.

Phil Johnston of Track Town Photo, who was on-site providing photos for the feature, drove Fenton to McKenzie-Willamete Medical Center where he was treated and x-rayed. Fenton was in the hospital from approximately 12:15pm to 2:15pm and was released with his arm in a sling. 



"A huge thanks for Nick and Phil for being there to help immediately. Just further shows how awesome the running community is and I am so thankful to be a part of it," Fenton said. "And if you are wondering about the Driven series with Symmonds, I sent our camera man, Kenny, and Justin Britton to finish shooting the series with Nick. As they say, 'The show must go on.'"

 An x-ray on Fenton revealed a broken clavicle.
