English Gardner to make Nike debut at US Champs

Less than a week after foregoing her NCAA eligibility for her senior year, Oregon Ducks sprinter English Gardner signed with HSInternational as her management company. The New Jersey native is listed as a Nike athlete at the United States Outdoor Track and Field Championships' 100-meter dash entry list.

According to NBC Sports' Ato Boldon, Gardner will join coach John Smith's group and train in Los Angeles.

Gardner has yet to declare for the 100-meter dash, but is expected to maker her professional debut in Des Moines after defending her NCAA title in Eugene. Her time of 10.96 from the championship round is the third best time in the world and second by an American.
