Veronica Campbell-Brown is likely to receive a reduced ban, according to the Times of London. The seven-time Olympic medalist will avoid the standard two-year ban for testing positive for the banned diuretic Lasix (furosemide) and instead will reportedly receive a “lesser” ban of only six months.

The IAAF has said that “she did not use the substance to cheat... despite its ability to act as a masking agent for performance-enhancing drugs.” The Jamaican disciplinary panel is expected to accept the claim.

There have been no comments from VCB since reports first surfaced on June 14th.
