Eric Jenkins has reportedly transferred from Northeastern University to the University of Oregon, says a source that wished to remain anonymous.

The potential move comes just a few months after Jenkins became the youngest sub-13:20 outdoor performer in U.S. history with his 13:18.58 seventh place finish at the Payton Jordan Invitational. Jenkins is the tenth fastest collegian of all-time and the fifth fastest American collegian at 5k.

Jenkins burst onto the NCAA scene at the 2013 NCAA Indoor Championships, where he would have finished second in the men’s 3000m and become third fastest American collegian in history had he not been disqualified for grabbing OSU’s Kirubel Erassa’s jersey at the bell.

This isn’t the only big move from NU this summer. Assistant coach Ryan Vanhoy recently took the assistant coaching position at the University of Mississippi and there are unconfirmed reports that 14:05 man Brian Doyle has transferred to the Providence College.

The University of Oregon and Northeastern University declined to comment. This is a developing story.
