#CHESRUNS Contest Winner Announced
Oregon miler Mac Fleet won this weekend's #CHESRUNS contest, where we asked our followers to guess how fast Ed Cheserek, distance runner at Oregon, would run his 10k at the Stanford Invitational. Fleet will be the proud owner of a hard-to-find Flotrack "Track is Back" t-shirt. Just moments before the race started, he put in his so-called "guess" of 28:51.89.
Cheserek ended up running 28:51.97 after the 25 lap race which puts Fleet's time within eight hundredths of a second. This has us scratching our heads. Some of our followers called it witchcraft and others screamed insider trading, but I call it lucky. Even if some may think there could have been foul play, we must stick to our word and honor the fact that until he can be proven guilty, we have to assume that Fleet made an honest guess.
Don't worry, followers. We will have one more chance for you to win a Flotrack t-shirt. Our next contest will end this Friday with #MORUNS, where we ask you to guess how fast Mo Farah will run his debut marathon in London this Sunday.
