Remembering Boston 2013 in the news
Remembering Boston 2013 in the news
Today marks a solemn day not only for the running community, but for America. One year ago, two terrorists planted two bombs near the Boston Marathon finish line and claimed the lives of three and injured more than 260 people. While the anniversary will bring along its share of tears, we must also celebrate and remember the bravery and strength of the city of Boston.
It is now less than a week until thousands return to the streets for the 118th edition of the race.
Flotrack will be on site to provide you with coverage. Site head Alex Lohr will even be participating in the race as he makes his marathon debut. (He will be wearing bib no. 5997, if you would like to track his progress throughout the race.)
Hundreds of other media outlets from across the nation will cover the weekend’s festivities. I would like to take this moment to recognize some of the brilliant journalism being done leading up to Patriots’ Day.
