Grunewald DQ video footage uncovered

On Tuesday, USATF shared a video from Penn Relays, where they take fans behind the scenes of athletes practicing stick passes while also singing along and dancing to MC Hammer’s "2 Legit 2 Quit."

Unfortunately, someone running their social media account forgot to mark one of the other videos on the Vimeo account as private. Also on the user’s page is the lost footage of the women’s 3,000-meter run at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships that was used in the initial disqualification of Gabriele Grunewald from the race.

The video evidence is comprised of the NBC Broadcast and Eagle Eye Video Timing.

Take a look at the 37 minutes of footage for yourself here.

It has been 66 days since the controversy in Albuquerque. The video was posted on Vimeo about a week ago.

The disqualification and reinstatement of Grunewald was well documented by the running community as well as some national media. Here are a few related articles that may serve as a refresher, if you needed a refresher on the timeline of events.

UPDATE: As of 9 a.m. Eastern Time, the Vimeo account no longer has the video and it has been deleted. Flotrack downloaded the video and will be posting screenshots from the footage.
