Lincoln and Gordon chat with Jeremy Wariner, Olympic/World champion and the 3rd fastest 400m runner of all-time. Wariner just made his 800m debut on Saturday, and the guys ask him to talk about his decision to try the new distance and how it sets him up for the future.
Wariner reveals that he still has big goals remaining in the 400m, among them medaling at Worlds this year, and the World record, which Wariner says “is always in the back of my mind.” Wariner’s PB is 43.45, Michael Johnson’s World record is 43.18.
L+G then recap World XC, where Team USA underwhelmed and the East Africans proved their dominance once again.
Finally, the remaining portion of the show is spent previewing the Stanford Invite, where the biggest NCAA (and pro) distance stars are making their 2015 outdoor debuts this weekend. Great news! It’s going to be LIVE on FloTrack!
