There’s a new runner on the Skechers Elite Team.

Former Nike Oregon Project runner Tara Welling (formerly Erdmann) signed a contract with the group earlier this morning, and will race in uniform tomorrow at the Falmouth Road Race.

The 26-year-old graduated from LMU in 2011 and earned five All-American honors for XC and track.

Perhaps the most impressive performance of her career was from 2012, where she finished in sixth place at the Olympic Trials, running to a personal best of 32:09 in the 10K.

In 2013, she finished third in the 10K at USA’s, but the lack of an "A" standard kept her from competing at World's. 

Welling's lone performance of 2015 came from the Great Edinburgh XCountry where she finished 17th overall. Injury kept her from competition up until now.
