Let’s go back in time together.

November 2015: The New Mexico Lady Lobos dominated the NCAA Cross Country Championships in historic fashion.

They then went into hibernation.

January 2016: Darkhorse William (Woody) Kincaid of Portland runs a NCAA-leading time of 7:48 in the 3K at Oregon's House Of Track.

He then went into hibernation (Woody actually got hurt, which was a huge bummer as he certainly would have mixed it up with Mr. Cheserek at NCAA Indoors).

February 13, 2016: The world’s fastest stonerChris Barnicle, finished in last place at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials.

He then went into hibernation?

Fast-forward ahead to this weekend, when everyone will come out of hibernation! Thank you, Bryan Clay Invitational, for making this happen.

UPDATE:

Tune in Friday at 12:45pm PT to see the "World's Greatest Athlete" Ashton Eaton compete in the men's 100m, and later at 5:30pm PT to wife and 2016 World Indoor Champion Brianne Thieson-Eaton in the women's 200m. The ultimate power couple has a busy weekend planned!

MEN’S 1500m - FRIDAY AT 6:55PM PT

Kincaid will make his outdoor-season debut in the 1500m with Portland Pilot teammate Reid Buchanan; Oklahoma State’s sub-four-minute stud Matthew Fayers; and of course, keep your eyes out for Barnicle’s return to the track!

WOMEN’S 5000m - THURSDAY AT 9:00PM PT

New Mexico’s Rhona Auckland, Alice Wright, and Molly Renfer will mix it up in the 5K with Erin Teschuk (also entered to run at the Brooks Mt. SAC Relays), and Laura Thweatt, who is fresh off her dominant Olympic Standard 10K performance at the Stanford Invitational.

WOMEN’S 1500m - FRIDAY AT 8:00PM PT

Calli Thackery and Courtney Frerichs of the dominant Lady Lobos will throw down in the 1500m, but they better watch out for Thweatt, who will return to the track for this event after her Thursday-night 5K.

MEN’S 5000m - THURSDAY AT 8:40PM PT

Speaking of 5Ks... who’s ready to see Futsum Zeinasellassie, Caleb Hoover and the rest of their NAU teammates hit the track with South Dakota State senior Trent Lusignan and Division II stud Bryce Bradley?! The answer is everybody.

Be sure to tune in Friday afternoon for the 800m as Bowerman Track Club's Lopez Lomong and Shelby Houlihan will compete at the Bryan Clay Invite AND the Brooks Mt. SAC Relays.

Track is SO back.
