Courtney Frerichs, the 2016 NCAA steeplechase champion and the new collegiate record-holder, has signed a contract with Nike and will join the Portland-based Bowerman Track Club, according to KIMbia Athletics.

Frerichs will train among a stellar team of steeplechase runners, including American record-holder Evan Jager and the 2015 NCAA champion Colleen Quigley, who are under the tutelage of Olympian Pascal Dobert and coach Jerry Schumacher.

“I am very excited about continuing my running career with Nike and the Bowerman Track Club,” Courtney told KIMbia Athletics. “I believe the opportunity to work with Jerry and Pascal will help me reach my goals as a runner. Working with the amazing women of the BTC will be a wonderful opportunity to learn more. I can’t wait for the Olympic Trials and to start this new chapter in my career.”
