Allie Ostrander Injured, Will Likely Redshirt Season
After a breakthrough freshman year that included a runner-up finish at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, Allie Ostrander has been struck with injury and will likely sit out the remainder of the 2016 cross country season.

Ostrander hadn't raced since the Olympic Trials in July, which prompted the question of whether or not she would return in the fall. Let's Run reached out to the Boise State sports information department which gave an official statement on her status: "Allie Ostrander is currently injured and will likely redshirt the cross country season."

As one of the most sought-after recruits in the country, Ostrander began her college career by making an immediate impact for the Broncos. She won all but two races in her first cross country season, highlighted by Wisconsin Invitational, Mountain West Conference, and NCAA west region victories. Her season culminated with a runner-up finish to Molly Seidel at NCAAs in Louisville, Kentucky.

She continued her dominant streak during the indoor season where she posted a 5K personal best of 15:21 and a 3K personal best of 8:54. Although she suffered from an injury during the NCAA Indoor Championships, Ostrander returned in July to finish eighth in the 5K at the U.S. Olympic Trials.
