Alice Wright And Calli Thackery Beat Brenna Peloquin At MWCs
In a major upset that throws the women's national title favorite into question, New Mexico's Alice Wright and Calli Thackery beat Boise State's Brenna Peloquin on her home course at the Mountain West Conference championship. Wright and Thackery went 1-2, Air Force's Carina Gillespie was third, and Peloquin was fourth.

Peloquin was No. 1 in the Saucony Flo50 after wins at Roy Griak and Wisconsin, and was considered the prohibitive favorite to win nationals after beating Wright and Michigan's Erin Finn in those two meets. The NCAA title in three weeks is now open to Finn, Wright, Peloquin, Notre Dame's Anna Rohrer, and more. You can rewatch this morning's race here.
