Roesler and Lendore Win The Bowerman
Laura Roesler of Oregon and Deon Lendore of Texas A&M are the 2014 Bowerman Award winners. Roesler and Lendore both swept NCAA titles indoor and outdoor in the 800m and 400m, respectively, and each won relay titles in the 4x400.
Roesler's reaction upon hearing her name be called...
While Roesler has moved on to the professional ranks, Lendore will compete in his senior season for the Aggies in 2015. Lendore, from Trinidad and Tobago, was a perfect 14 for 14 over 400 meters as a junior, and has said that he plans on mixing in some 200s for this upcoming season. With the Bowerman trophy in hand, Lendore is ready to once again conquer the NCAA competition.
Interviews from the winners and other finalists will be up shortly on Flotrack. Stay tuned!
