Oregon freshman Devon Allen burst on the scene during the 2014 outdoor track season, winning the 110-meter hurdle crown at NCAAs. Winning an NCAA title as a freshman is impressive, but doing so after spending the fall on the football field made Allen an unbelievable talent. Allen doubles as a standout wide receiver on the #2 ranked Oregon football team, leading the Ducks in receiving yards this season.
The #2 Upset of 2014 came at the USATF Outdoor Championships, where the 19-year-old Allen beat a stacked 110-meter hurdle field that included world champions Jason Richardson and David Oliver. Allen’s winning time of 13.16 tied the PR he set at NCAAs, which is #2 All-Time in the NCAA.
