Galen Rupp’s Three American Records 

2014 was the year of records for Galen Rupp. The Olympic silver medalist started off the year in January with an American record in the indoor 5K at Boston University with a blazing performance of 13:01.26. In February, he tackled the 2-Mile record (8:07.41) at the B.U. John Thomas Terrier Invitational and continued in the summer by smashing the American record in the 10K at the Prefontaine Classic (26:44.36).
