Genzebe Dibaba’s Back-To-Back-To-Back World Records
Genzebe Dibaba owned the indoor scene in 2014 with back-to-back-to-back world indoor records in a span of 15 days. It all started in Karlsruhe, Germany when Dibaba clocked an all-time indoor best in the 1500m with a time of 3:55.17, taking more than three seconds off Russian Yelena Soboleva’s record. Five days later in Stockholm, Dibaba set a world record for 3K with a time of 8:16.66, and on Feb. 15 at Sainsbury’s Indoor Grand Prix, Dibaba smashed the 2-Mile record in 9:00.48, demolishing the previous record by six seconds.
