Nevada Gaming Regulators Permit Olympic Betting
Wanna make a bet? The stakes have just been raised for the XXXI Olympiad.
Starting with the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Las Vegas gamblers will be able to wager on the biggest sporting event in the world.
Nevada Gaming Control voted yesterday to permit betting on the Olympics for the first time since it was outlawed in 2001. The vote was unanimous. All 306 events across 28 sports will be available for wagering.
UK bookmaker William Hill quickly followed up by releasing their odds for the 2016 Games. The 2012 gold medal winning Team USA men’s basketball squad is a minus-320 favorite to repeat in 2016.
