Matt Centrowitz (Nike Oregon Project) ended his stellar 2015 indoor season with his first indoor US title in the mile. The race went as expected with the entire field jogging thru 800 in around 2:08. the next 400m would be in 4-flat pace but it was the final 400 where the field got dropped and Centrowitz cruised to victory.

Ben Blankenship (OTC Elite) and Pat Casey (OTC Elite) were able to stay near the front the entire race to secure silver and bronze. Matt Elliott (Brooks) who had the fastest last 400m finished 4th.

Alysia Montano (Asics/NYAC) took the victory in the 600m running 1:26.59. However one of the favorites Ajee’ Wilson (adidas) was sitting in 2nd 300m into the race and was tripped causing her to fall face first and essentially wiping out the entire field behind her. After the fall the gap was to big for Phoebe Wright (Nike) to make up in such a short time as she finished 2nd in 1:28.00.

Cas Loxsom (Brooks) does it again! Breaking his own American Record in the 600m running 1:15.33! 400m into the race Loxsom already had a one second lead on the field going through 400 in 48.26. Loxsom closed in 27.08 and his teammate Mark Wieczorek (Brooks) had the fastest close in 26.59 finishing 2nd.

Upset City! Lauren Wallace (Oiselle) surprised the field, the fans, and even herself (based on her reaction) as she took the victory in the 1k running 2:40.42. Wallace led the first half of the race until being passed by Charlene Lipsey (adidas). In the final 200 Treniere Moser (Nike Oregon Project) and Stephanie Brown (Nike) were in the mix to win it, but Wallace’s final 50m on the inside lane was the difference maker to secure her first US title.
Robby Andrews (adidas) is back in top form winning the 1k in 2:21.92. Andrews had an incredible last 200 splitting 25.82 sec! And teammates Kyle Merber (Hoka One One) and Michael Rutt (Hoka One One) had great finishes as well to pass Cory Leslie (Nike) and take 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Shannon Rowbury (Nike Oregon Project) pulled off the Mile/2 Mile double winning the 2 Mile over her teammate Jordan Hasay (Nike Oregon Project) in 9:43.94 to Hasay’s 9:44.69. Rowbury closed in 30.60 for her final 200m. Brie Felnagle (adidas) took 3rd in 9:47.73.
