The world's BEST athlete Ashton Eaton will be competing in his first decathlon since 2013 at the Hypo-Meeting in Gotzis and it will be LIVE on FloTrack! Beginning at 8:30am CT, you can watch Eaton, the world's greatest athlete.

The Hypo-Meeting at the Mosle Stadium in Gotzis, Austria, is the home of the former world record decathlon score, Roman Sebrle’s 9026 points from 2001. Eaton surpassed that mark at the 2012 Olympic Trials in Eugene, scoring 9039 points to make him the second man to score over 9000.

Eaton last completed a decathlon in 2013 when he was crowned the World Champion in Moscow. He did not finish in Talence one month later and in 2014 focused on the 400m hurdles, running 48.69 in Glasgow last July.

So far this season, Eaton has run a wind-aided 10.20 100m, 46.27 400m, and 13.43 for 110 hurdles, in addition to throwing 14.71m in the shot and 59.76m for the javelin, marks faster than those recorded in his 2012 Olympic Trials performance below.

He’ll be joined by some of the world’s top competitors and fellow American Jeremy Taiwo, the 2015 USATF Indoor Champion and has a personal-best 8239 points.

Eaton’s wife, Brianne Theisen-Eaton set the Canadian record of 6641 and won Gotzis last year. She’s back and will face 2012 Olympic Champ Jessica Ennis-Hill, making her first appearance in the heptathlon since winning gold and giving birth in July of 2014.
