BEIJING - Jenna Prandini has signed a professional contract with PUMA, announced today on Enduro Hub. Prandini, who was the 2015 USATF 200m Champion, 2015 NCAA 100m Champion, 2x NCAA Long Jump Champion and 14x All American while at the University of Oregon created a buzz in the 200m preliminary rounds, where she sported bright blue PUMA spikes. Athletes are allowed to wear any competition shoe they prefer, but with the University of Oregon's Nike contract, many wondered if this meant Prandini's Duck days were over.

"It's been an overall great experience with them," Prandini said after her 200m semi-final race. "It really clicked the moment we started talking."

Prandini could represent the Ducks on the track for a fifth-year, but will forgo her NCAA eligibility to represent PUMA. "I'm really excited to take the next step," Prandini said.

Prandini ran 22.95 to finish second in her preliminary heat to qualify for today's 200m semi-final at the IAAF World Championships. She finished fifth in her semi-final in 22.87 and will not advance to the final.

"I'm very happy to be joining PUMA, a great brand with a rich history in sport and track & field," Prandini said in the Enduro Hub release.

"The running footwear and apparel they've given me is excellent, and they have exciting marketing plans in place for me -- I'm excited to start the next chapter in my career.  Everyone has made me feel so welcome, I'm looking forward to getting involved."

Johan Adamsson, the Global Director of Sports Marketing at PUMA, added this in the release on Prandini:

"Jenna will undoubtedly be a great ambassador for PUMA both on and off the track. Her talent and dedication to training is phenomenal, this coupled with her extraordinary talent, charisma and confidence makes her a perfect fit for our brand and great addition to the cross
category marketing plans we have in place going forward. We're very excited to being able to welcoming Jenna to the PUMA family and wish her all the best for competition this week and the future to come."
