Robert Cheseret of Kaptel, Kenya is currently in his last semester at the University of Arizona. As a Wildcat he has won 2 NCAA titles, several conference championships and All-American honors. Robert attended Kurgung Boys High School in Kapsabet, Kenya. In high school Cheseret ran personal best times of 3:49 in the 1,500m, 8:29 in the 3,000m and 14:30 in the 5,000m and finished 49th at the 2001 Kenya National Cross Country Championships. Robert is coached by James Li, who also coaches his brother Bernard Lagat. At the University of Arizona Robert is the current record holder of the 5k (13:13.23) and was a member of the distance medley relay team that set an Arizona indoor school record of 9:34.27.
