John Moore is currently a redshirt junior at the University of Portland. As a Pilot, John solidified his presence as a top tier runner in the NCAA with a solid 23rd place in Terre Haute at the 2005 Cross Country National Championships. John Moore, a native of Olympia Washington, attended Olympia High school where he finished second in 3200-meter run at 2003 State '4A' meet and sixth in 1600-meter run at 2003 State 4A meet. As a Pilot John earned All-American honors at the NCAA Outdoors, finishing in 10th place in the 10,000-meter run (29:03.75) and 23rd place in NCAA XC Nationals with a time of 30:13. John has had solid performances this year including a 3rd place finish at the University of Oregon Bill Dellinger invitational behind Josh Rhotinsky and Galen Rupp, as well as claiming victory at the Jim Drews Invitational in La Crosse, Wisconsin
