Craig Masback was an elite athlete that broke four mins in the mile 30 times, a commentator for the 1992 Olympics as well as many other track events, he worked on Wall Street, went to Yale law school and represented the Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones and started his own business, Inclyne Sports. Masback did all of this before he got the call to run the fledgling USATF 1997. Masback and his family moved to Indianapolis to try and turn around an organization that was millions of dollars in debt after 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. Masback has been the CEO of USATF since 1997 and the organization has grown from a company in the red with revenues around seven million to a company in the black with revenues around 17 million. Also during his tenure Masback basically created the USATF apparel business, it has grown immensely from thousands of dollars to over a million dollar a year business. Masback has been at the center of much discussion since his arrival in 1997 yet he continues to set high goals and help grow the USATF.
