Christine joined the University of Washington Track and Field/XC team in the fall of 2008 as a freshman. The spring prior she set the national record in the high school 1600 running 4:33. She also set the 1500 national record which would be broken later on my Jordan Hasay while they were running against one another at the 2008 Olympic Trials.
