Nick Rogers had an amazing season in 2000 that ended with a trip to Sydney Australia and the Olympic games. Before 2000 Rogers was not even considered a contender for one of three US 5k spots for the Olympics. He started off the year by finishing third at US cross country championships then he finished third at the Olympic trials after dropping out of the 10k. Later in Europe, Nick got his A standard and represented the US in Sydney.
