All-American Hanna Grinaker hails from Detroit Lakes MN, where she excelled on the the track and cross country course. Hanna earned All-State three different times and, as a senior, she finished seventh at the Foot Locker Cross Country Championships. In 2006, as a freshman in Madison, Hanna made an immediate impact by becoming the first woman to earn All-American honors in cross country since 1986 when the nine-time NCAA champ Suzy Favor-Hamilton accomplished that feat. Hanna?s 13th place finish at the NCAA championship on Terre Haute, IN capped off a surprising season for the Badger women, her finish led Wisconsin to a fourth place finish.
