Rebecca Davis Wilmes has an impressive record both from her undergraduate athletic championships and from accomplishments as assistant coach for middle distance and distance runners along with the cross country team at the University of Missouri. Her personal championships include two-time All American in 800m and 1500m, two-time conference champion, a Drake Relays champion and five-time Kansas Relays champion. In cross country she was the 1996 Midwest Regional Cross Country Champion. Post-collegiate, she was an Olympic Trials qualifier for the 1500 m. There are many other rewards/achievements that Rebecca received.
In her role on the Mizzou Tigers coaching staff, Rebecca takes that same winning drive to a new level; she has coached seven All-Americans, eight Big-12 championships and two Drake Relay Champions. Coach Wilmes has also worked some magic with the Cross Country Team and brought them to their best regional and national showings in 20 years.
Rebecca is also able to share her successes with husband Jared Wilmes who also coaches the Mizzou Tigers.
