Stanley Redwine came to the University of Kansas at a time when the track team had seen better days. Since 2000 Redwine has guided 19 athletes to 30 All-American certificates and the men and women have set 32 new school records. Just two years after his arrival the Jayhawks had two NCAA champs, eighth Big-12 champions and 21 athletes compete at nationals. Previous to coaching at Kansas, Redwine was the head coach at Tulsa, where his athletes broke an amazing 70 school records and guided Tulsa?s first ever track and field All-American. Redwine was pretty amazing on the track in his own right. Redwine competed for Arkansas and his name is scatter all over the Razorback top ten lists. While at Arkansas, Redwine earned four All-American awards and was Outstanding Track Athlete four years in a row from 1980-1983. Redwine retired from track in 1996 after more then ten years of professional competition.
