Jacques Sallberg became the 14th member of Team Running USA shortly after he took 4th in the USA 3000m Steeplechase and cut his time by 6 seconds for a new PR of 8:28.18 at the 2006 USATF Championships. Jacques has had a determined manner when it comes to besting his own showing in many track events from his days at John Muir High School in Pasadena California ('92) to Glendale CC ('94) and California State University in Los Angeles ( B.S.Kinesiology '98). Jacques' determined manner drew particular notice two other times in 2006 when he set new personal records: he took 1st in the Mt SAC Mile with a PR of 4:01.50 and he took 3rd in the Mt. SAC 5000 m with a PR of 13: 52.62.
