Might have been the day after that I was so sore, cant remember it was like 2 years ago. I'd just say use good judgement and ease into it. |

Nudelman, I think that can be said anytime you haven't engages in something physical for some time. If you go out and not having run for sometime, whether forward or backwards, there will be soreness until your muscles become accustomed to that type of muscular contractions. I'm not sure how soreness caught up with you right after the workout considering your adrenaline was flowing and your muscles were still working?!? |

Do not run backwards for extended periods of time if you havent eased into it. I did a backwards 400 to see what I could do, I could barely move afterwards, my coach explained its because you use muscles you wouldnt normally use. |

If you're a sprinter, it helps with proper foot placement, so when you do run forward you strike properly while sprinting. |
