Region Meet

In the last couple of meets i had they were an average of 22 minutes; one was at Sharptop which wasn't my best race (23:00) because it was hilly and the other race was at the Carollton state course, which was pretty good (22:40), but was hilly also. Then I had my Region meet. It was not an awful race but i didn't improve my time and the fact that Morgan beat me (again!) brought me down. I tried to work on splits while running, and got a time of 22:08, one second off my time last year! I was… more »

Ok, i haven't written anything in a while because of academics, studyin, etc., but I can now talk about the last meet i had, so here it goes.... 2 weeks ago, on saturday, i ran a meet at Darlington with a time of 22:18..not that bad considering i just got back from retreat a day ago! But anyways, it was VERY cold; good running temperature. I was told that it was a pretty flat course, which it was until i saw one steep hill in the middle of the course. That was pretty ridiculous if you ask me, plus when… more »

Hey, sorry i haven't written in a while, I've been busy and had no time to fill in my events for the past week! Anyways, i have the results of the last two meets i competed in: Cobb County Championships (last saturday) and the Aubrae Invitational in Conyers (which was today). In the Cobb County Championships, because of the mud and difficult course from the rainy weather, i maintained a time of 22:14, which was not my best time AT ALL. But although i suffered dizziness and all that stuff after the race, the good news is that i finally… more »

Today, I ran at the Cherokee County Invitational against the varsity 5A schools. I finished with a time of 21:50, my best 3-mile time...so far.. :) Unfortunately, my evil twin sister Morgan beat me again, but that was because of the stress going on in my body :/ That is probably the reason why I've been losing to Morgan because of all the stress I go through before a race. I don't understand what has gotten into me over the last couple of meets. I've just been stressing and going through "nervous breakdowns" i guess [:)] for nothing at all.… more »

Sorry I haven't been writing in a while, I just got back from SC a couple of days ago and was busy with work ever since. Soo.... last saturday I raced at the Berry invitational at 8 am with the 1A, 2A, and 3A teams. At first, I kind of started a little too fast in the first mile, but that luckily got me in a good position. Me and Morgan (of course!) was with me the entire time, but I eventually beat her at the end FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I eventually finished the race with a time of 22:15, Morgan being… more »

Today, I arrived at 7 am to the OLM invitaional in Fairburn, Georgia. It was good running weather for me because I began my race at 8 am, and by that time it was cool outside. When I began my race, my mile split was 7:00 and my two mile split was 14:41. Me and Morgan kept up with each other the whole time! As soon as I was close to the finish line, I sprinted ahead of Morgan and looked at the time on my watch before coming close to the finish line, and before I knew it, Morgan… more »

Last Sunday, I started my xc season by going to my first meet in the Luella Twilight Invitational in McDonough, GA. I ran in the varsity team with my girls. During the race, I was going through some gradual hills and the whole time I kept up with Morgan. When I was close to the finish line, I was so tired and beat that I let Morgan beat me. She placed 21st and was 16 seconds away from me and I placed 23rd with a time of 23:36. I'm STILL mad Morgan beat me!! But I couldn't help it because… more »
