Region Meet

In the last couple of meets i had they were an average of 22 minutes; one was at Sharptop which wasn't my best race (23:00) because it was hilly and the other race was at the Carollton state course, which was pretty good (22:40), but was hilly also.

Then I had my Region meet. It was not an awful race but i didn't improve my time and the fact that Morgan beat me (again!) brought me down. I tried to work on splits while running, and got a time of 22:08, one second off my time last year! I was close to beating my personal time, but overall i had a good season in cross-country. What I'm really upset about was that my times last year were better than this year, which concerns me. I think the problem was that i didn't get enough exercise before i went to the Appalachian camp.

Hopefully, I'll get pretty good training when the woman from the ymca comes and helps train me. She did water polo when she was in college, which is a pretty tough sport. Maybe i might do triathlons or something like that. Anyway, when i start to train, she is giving me workout programs to help get me in shape and improve my running and endurance. In the meantime, I pray that i might get to go to state next year as a junior, and i'm training my hardest in order to beat Emily, who is coming to the team next year.
