Went a bit crazy
November 16, 2008
So today I knew I had to run at least 3...and i ended up running 5. And then I got off the treadmill, and proceeded to do 15 pushups. Then I did crunches until my stomach burned and lost count. Then I tried a few leg and arm excercise I saw in a fitness magazine. Then I did more pushups. Then more crunches. And then I did toe touches on a soccer ball. At that point, I figured that maybe I should be spending a bit of time on the papers I have to write for tomorrow (which I still… more »
Avenged Tripping Girl!!!
October 14, 2008
So today I decided that no matter how much pain my scrapes gave me, I would race. My mind was a battlefield before I came to a decision. They really bothered me during the warm-ups, but not enough to completely discourage me. I forget exactly when, but after or during warm-ups I had a sort of epiphany. I could give back what that girl in the last meet gave to me. She struggled through her obstacles and still beat me. It was time to, in a way, avenge her. I had witnessed how she came out on top of her… more »

Interesting Race?
October 10, 2008
Today I wasn't in my best racing state. I was out of it and feeling a bit dizzy and, to be honest, my breathing sounded a bit shaky. I think it was partially due to malnutrishion and partly because it was a friday. I have a bit of a theory that I run better in the morning or at the beginning of the week. I dunno, just a theory.
So anyways, the race itself was a bit more interesting than usual today. At the start of the race, some random car parked up near that sign between the track and… more »
Gym Mile
October 6, 2008
Being in shape makes the most impossible situations seem simpler. Or, at least less painful. This week is fitness week, but I didn't find out until I was standing on the track for gym class and being told so. Apparently we were running the mile today. Well, someone forgot to mention this earlier, because I showed up in the clothes I was wearing to school. In project adventure, you can do that. Changing is sort of optional, and I was too lazy to do so. So there I stood, looking at Mr. Reynolds in disbelief and realizing that I was… more »

Glad the meet was postponed
October 1, 2008
Ever since I got a massage after my race in Rhode Island, my calves have been messed up. The lower part constantly feels tight when I go to run. I seriously lucked out today because if I had to race like this, Superman would have killed me x_x . If they don't start feeling better, I'm not sure what I'll do. But I'm definately NOT getting any more massages. At least, not anytime soon...
All I know is, there's no way I'm going to let it stop me. I probably won't stop unless I get seriously injured. I just want… more »
