Okay so the first race of the year. How did I do? Well I placed 40 out of 70 or so runners and came in 4th for the AU mens team. My time for the 6k race was 22 minutes flat. I was ok with that because I hadn't been running and I have this cruddy IT band, but hey no excuses right?

How I felt...hmm I felt I went too fast in the beginnig. Coach told me to go out with a 5:45 mile and I went out with a 5:35. I felt like my body was not used to moving that fast so I quickly ran out of energy. If i remember previous races Id been able to start slow and come back strong, not gasping for air like im about to pass out so heres to working on that!

Coach is def right though, I need to up my endurace. My speed is there still, which I def felt in the last 1000 meters of the race I was able to summon up a surge and pick off guys, but it would help to come to that finish stronger.

But other than that, not a bad first day! I also got this nasty blood blister under my toe..its pretty gross. Im going to have to pop it. Not looking foward to that. Any who,
