After a couple weeks of training in Florida and Boston we are back to Michigan putting in the miles for the Boston marathon on April 20. I have not run Boston before, so training on the course was definatly helpful. The course is challenging but I also really like the course. One thing that I have learned from past marathons is that you have to run your own race. It is easy to get caught up in the competition when you are feeling good, but 26.2 miles is too demanding to run someone else's race. This is something I am really working on for Boston. I am training to run 5:15 per mile, and I know if I go out there and run to my potential that the results will come.

Each week the anticipation builds, we have about 8 weeks and 1000 miles of training to go, but all the hard work pays off on race day.

Good luck in Boston (Shelby too)! If it wasn't a point to ponit course, I'd be there to do some screaming. We're off and running at the Forks. We'll try to do you proud this season. Keep it up, Brooks
