Track and Field Blogs - David Flaugher

Tonight as you guys were finishing up your workout, I was starting a run with some of my friends. We were running the Dr. course bacwards. John W, Doug and myself had kind of broke away by the time we hit Grinstead Dr which is about 2 miles into the run. As we crossed Stiltz onto Frankfort we step up on the sidewalk. Probably 10' onto the sidewalk I stepped on a chunk of concrete. I never saw it since it was the same color as the sidewalk. I was down before I knew what had happened. My right ankle rolled badly. Luckily I have some nice friends. They stayed with me while Doug went to get his car.

So right now I am stuck in a bucket of ice water with a knot on my ankle that is every big as big as a golf ball.

I should have just run with you guys.
