I've always had a fondness for the Rodes 10K. I like the course and its seems like I always get to see a ton of people that I know at the start. I think because everyone is concentrated in such as small area near the hotel. I can only recall a few years that this race has enjoyed nice weather. This years was about as good as it gets. I have run it in snow, rain and fog. But never have I seen a warm day (that I remember anyway).

One thing that the Ville is missing is road races of more than 5K. Several years ago there were some nice 10K's and above. Now once the Triple Crown is over you really dont find any quality road races over 5K. Funny too, because if you go to Indy all you see in 8K. They have few 5000's and a whole bunch of 5 milers. Maybe we could put on a 10K. If we build it, will they come?
